1. Terms and Conditions of Use
By accessing and using the HepaSkin website (hereinafter referred to as “the website”), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read this document carefully before using the services or information provided.
1.1. Purpose of the website
The HepaSkin Project serves an informational and operational purpose related to the organization and communication of free screening programs for the early detection of skin and liver conditions. Appointments and related communications are carried out through the website’s forms and through project partners. The website does not provide direct medical consultations and does not replace professional medical evaluation.
1.2. Use of content
The content published on this website (texts, images, graphic materials, information) is protected by copyright. Reproducing, distributing, or publishing these materials without the written consent of the rights holders is prohibited.
1.3. Limitation of liability
The HepaSkin team strives to keep information accurate and up to date. However, we do not guarantee the absence of errors or omissions and assume no responsibility for any consequences resulting from the use of the information on the website.
1.4. Modification of terms
We reserve the right to update these terms without prior notice. The updated version will always be available on this page.
2. Privacy Policy and Data Protection (GDPR)
This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the personal data of visitors and users of the HepaSkin website, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
2.1. Data controller
The data controller is the HepaSkin project team, funded through the Interreg IPA Romania–Serbia Programme, in collaboration with the project partners.

2.2. Data collected through the website
- first and last name;
- email address;
- phone number;
- city / county;
- optional message (within the registration form);
- program preference or selection (skin screening and/or liver screening);
- additional data voluntarily provided by the participant, such as general medical information, personal history, risk factors, or other details relevant for assessing eligibility for screening.
2.3. Purpose of processing
Data is collected exclusively for:
- registering participants for skin (dermatological) and/or liver screening programs organized within the project;
- contacting participants to schedule and confirm appointments;
- informing participants about activities, events, and results of the HepaSkin project.
2.4. Legal basis
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — user consent;
- Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR — performance of a task carried out in the public interest.
2.5. Data retention
Data is retained for the duration of the project and for a reasonable period thereafter, according to reporting and archiving requirements imposed by the funding authority.
2.6. Rights of data subjects
Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679, you have the right to: access, rectification/erasure, restriction, portability, objection, as well as the right to file a complaint with ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).
2.7. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. Forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, and transmission is secured through encrypted SSL (HTTPS) connections. Since this website is protected by reCAPTCHA, the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
3. Cookie Policy
3.1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when visiting the website. They cannot run programs and do not directly contain data that identifies you.
3.2. Types of cookies used
- strictly necessary cookies (form functionality, security);
- analytical cookies (anonymous traffic via Google Analytics, if enabled);
- security cookies (reCAPTCHA, provided by Google LLC);
- cookies managed via Complianz GDPR Cookie Consent (banner, preferences, proof of consent).
3.3. Managing cookies
On your first visit, a consent banner (e.g., CookieYes) appears, allowing quick choices: “Accept All”, “Reject All”, or “Customise” for granular category selection. Preferences can be reviewed at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link available in the website footer (or via the floating banner icon, if displayed), as well as through browser settings.

The website may contain links to external domains. HepaSkin is not responsible for the content or privacy policies of those websites.
